This multi-layered lesson captures the sweetness of a butterfly hovering around blossoming Bluebonnets on a spring day. Inspired by our springtime Texas landscapes, this lesson combines several different painting techniques to create texture and interest, including using warm colors for our sunrise background, and learning how to paint only half of the butterfly and folding the paper to transfer the wet paint to the other side to get a perfectly symmetrical butterfly!
