This lesson’s objective was to introduce color theory. The basis of color theory comes down to three important colors, known as the primary colors: Red, Yellow, and Blue. These are three colors that cannot be created by mixing other colors. When you mix these primary colors together, they create secondary colors: Orange, Green, and Purple. For this lesson, the students first made color wheels by using paint to mix primary colors to make secondary colors. Then, the students were instructed to make something different with their color wheel. The students had the choice to follow the teacher's example (an eye) or to create their own original work of art.
