I am reaching out to share information about Artsonia. Many times, art projects get stuffed in backpacks, or lost/ruined on the way from school to home. Artsonia allows students to photograph their work right when it is done, and keep it safely in their online art portfolio. Our school is a member of Artsonia.com (www.artsonia.com), the largest online student art museum. Artsonia showcases artwork from thousands of schools around the world*. Artsonia’s goals are to develop students’ pride and self-esteem, increase their multicultural understanding through art and involve parents and relatives in student education and accomplishments. This program is not only an amazing fundraiser for the art room but also shows/collects their work throughout their time at Shasta Elementary. Your child’s digital portfolio will be seen by other students and teachers at our school. (With additional permissions* this artwork can also be made viewable in our public gallery!) The artwork shown is by parents that have signed up.
