Students created an abstract piece of art that started with a directed drawing, reviewing a variety of lines, such as horizontal, vertical, diagonal and meandering lines. They also added a variety of shapes after given clues, such as a "four sided shape" or "another four sided shape that has two short sides and two long sides". Each drawing was unique and became even more wonderful as students made aesthetic choices in the variety of materials that they chose. Some students love markers while others love crayons and others love oil pastels or chalk pastels. As always, students reflected on their work as they thought about a title that would describe the feeling or mood of their art!
