2023 Tim Burton Style Selfies

Back by popular demand! Using charcoal, students created a self-portrait in the style of American artist and film-maker, Tim Burton. His characters are known for their gothic, dark style mixed with the cartoon cuteness of big eyes and small features. This project is a hit every fall as students get choice in designing their self portrait character. This year we added family and pet portraits, too!  Students who have done this drawing before with me have a comparison to their skills from previous years. It has been so much fun that staff created Burton selfies this year as well. They are displayed at school right now and will go home with students/staff later this year.
