Winter Landscapes

DPS 3rd grdae students created winter landscapes with acrylic paint. This was a two week project because of the size of it. The first week, students were given blue & white paint with the expectations that they create a background thathad dark and lighrt areas. During this time, students were toi encouraged to explore the various ways to create marks with the paintbrush. The following week, the students were given black and white paint to create silohetes and snow for their lanscapes. Students were allowed to do any extra details as long as it also included landscape features and was school appropriate.
