Cut Paper & Collage Unit

DPS "K" students create two project during this unit. The first project was a cut paper project. STudents used paint sticks to create a piece of art that was cut up. They re-arranged the pieces and then glued the pieces down to make a completly new piece of art. The following week, students learned about the artist, Henri Matisse. We looked at his paper collages before using pre-selected paper pieces to make create our own versions of collage.
