Monochromatic Colors: Tints, Tones, and Shades in Animal Paintings  Standard:  A.3.1e Demonstrate knowledge of the color wheel including: intermediate colors, complementary colors A.4.1h Create a variety of colors, tints, and shades by mixing pigments A.5.1b Create facial features in correct proportions Objectives Students will understand the concept of monochromatic colors and learn how to create tints, tones, and shades. Objective Students will apply their knowledge of monochromatic colors using pastels and watercolors to create an animal artwork. Students will complete their monochromatic animal artwork and prepare to present it to the class.
