Our 3D animal portraits are made using cardboard, egg cartons, acrylic paint, paint markers and hot glue.
Students had an assignment beforehand, on Personification vs. Anthropomorphism.  They used either "how to draw" animal books, or found
photo references for their animal online, making sure it was forward facing. First they traced their cardboard frame piece, onto sketch paper,
and then practiced drawing their animal. All animals need to be forward facing (no profile) because they had to recreate them using only egg cartons.
They also had to design what type of clothing their animal was going to be wearing to their Thanksgiving Dinner celebration.

If you get a chance- check them out in person! They are hanging up in the hallway outside of the gym, closest to the parking lot, just in time for our own
Thanksgiving Dinner and sharing chapel.
