The students worked hard for 9 weeks on this project! First, they looked at different insects and researched the three main parts. Then the students each picked an insect and we discussed how to take a picture of something and turn it three-dimensional - very tricky for this age! The students built their models out of papier mache'. Then, as a group, we studied Mexican art and found that it was colorful and typically had patterns on it. We painted our insects with acrylics and adorned them with beads.
