We read The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister and then the students created their own version using oil pastels, watercolors, and tissue paper. The students studied the difference between warm and cool colors and applied them respectively to the fish and the water. We also discussed what shapes would best represent the different parts of the fish.
