GUNG HAY FAT CHOY! 3-8th grade students created these koi fish ponds to celebrate Chinese New Year and as a way to practice open composition, overhead perspective and positive and negative space to create unity in a composition. We explored wet and dry media and practiced warm/cool color and value identification in this project. Additionally we conducted a science experiment...What will happen to watercolor paint when you add salt to it? Ask your children for the answer---They are experts now!
