COLOR Unit (4th Grade)

In the "Color" unit for our fourth-grade art class, students will embark on an in-depth study of color theory and its application in visual arts, aligning with national visual arts standards. They will explore the color wheel, focusing on primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, as well as warm, cool, and neutral tones. Through hands-on projects like painting, printmaking, and mixed media, students will experiment with color mixing, layering, and blending techniques. They will also analyze how color influences mood and meaning in artworks, examining the works of various artists.
