Semester 2 Sustained Investigations

Semester two revolved around the concepts of creating a series and furthering the development of the processes of the eight studio habits of mind (develop craft, observe, understanding art worlds, envision, stretch and explore, engage and persist, express, and reflect). Students created a mini collection (3 or more artworks) based on themes and using materials of their own choosing. Through practical application, students were able to experience the triumphs and opticals a true working artist would encounter during the process of creating artwork and collections for show. From collections based on natural disasters, adoption, women's rights, recycling, trauma, and more! Each student's individual's artistic voice can be seen not only in their passion shown in their work but also in their artist statements.
