In this lesson, students learned how to make a drawing become symmetrical. When their drawing of an owl was monoprinted and colored, students collaged that image onto a painted background, and added a branch for the owl to stand on. In doing this, students figured out, that while their completed project was asymmetrical, their painting of the owl was symmetrical.
