Pumpkin Mixing

1st and Kindergarten students learned how to draw pumpkins and used black crayon to create a wax resist. Then students explored how to mix red and yellow to make orange. Lastly, they painted their backgrounds with a fall pattern. When working on this project students learned how to create mixed-media art by combining drawing, painting, and collage.
