Picture the Music

K-6 students listened to "Juba Dance" the third movement of Florenc Price's Symphony No. 1 during music and art classes, and were encouraged to respond with paintings or drawings that expressed creative thought and emotion. One painting from each grade was selected to represent our school to send to the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra competition. Over 300 entries were submitted from 49 schools. RES is honored to have 5 selected for the top 100 with 2 placing in the top 20 receiving Blue Ribbon recognition. 3 of our entries are unable to be viewed.
