My Mondrian

Pontotoc Elementary First Graders learned about Piet Mondrian and then created their own "Mondrian-Like" paintings. They used vertical and horizontal black construction paper lines to create a geometric composition. They chose which geometric shapes to paint with primary and secondary colors. They also painted some shapes with black, white, or gray. Controlling their paint brushes was also an important part or the lesson.
