Welcome Palm Beach Public Comets to our end of the year Virtual Art Show!  I'm very excited to showcase all of the amazing artwork the students have been creating throughout the year!  We studied two very important and influential artists, Claude Monet & the Impressionism Movement, as well as Alexander Calder, known for his wire sculptures, mobiles & stabiles.  The students in the after school art program were also busy working on projects that integrated music & art.  Included in this slideshow you will see a variety of pieces with a strong emphasis on painting and collage.  Unfortunately, due to distance learning, many of our art projects are only halfway finished. The 1st grade circus tents and 2nd grade circus elephants & seals are sitting on the drying rack, waiting for students to return to the art room next year to complete.  Additionally, students were not able to begin all of the 3-D and ceramic pieces that I had planned for the art show.  However, every student should have at least one piece of artwork in this slideshow and all of their work from previous years can be found on the Artsonia Gallery.  I know you will be very impressed with all the talented young artists at Palm Beach Public.  I am so proud of all their hard work and dedication to each project!  My intention is that during this unprecedented time, these artworks can lift your spirits by inspiring gratitude towards the artistic expression in all of us, and by reinforcing the importance of creativity and hope. Enjoy!
