Second Grade Patriotic Paintings

This project was created to honor our veterans. Students learned how to draw and then paint a star. Then they learned some artist tips for holding and using a paint brush to help control the type of line they paint. Students were given small, medium, and large, flat and round brushes. They completed their painting by adding more shapes, lines and patterns and selecting the best size and type of brush to use for each.
