2024 Urban Air Art Fair

Urban Air Wake Up Downtown came back to visit Logan again this year and held their Urban Air Art Fair with our 5th and 6th grade students who had art the 4th 9 weeks. Students not only learned about Airstream campers and their history, but that they are made right here in Ohio! They also found out that the paper they drew on came from a 6th generation hydro powered paper mill in Niles, Michigan. Students had to draw an image that included an Airstream camper and followed this year's theme of "Always in Our Element". The artworks were displayed in the Downtown storefronts for a week where locals and visitors could vote on their favorite drawing for the People's Choice Award. After the display was taken down, the artworks were judged but a panel of professional artists. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners were presented with art supply kits to further their creative endeavors. The People's Choice winner received a gift certificate to a local shop. We appreciate the opportunity to host this competition with our students.
