5. Winter Tree Weaving

Artists in 5th grade used tints of blue to paint a simple winter landscape on a paper plate. Next, artists made a series of small cuts on the plate to create a loom for weaving. A variety of green yarn was strung on the plate and a woven to create a winter tree. Finally, artists chose paper snowflakes, sequins, and cotton, to embellish their artwork. Fiber & textile arts, such as weaving, can be very challenging - especially in the beginning. Our 5th grade artists were persistent and have experienced the reward of completing a challenging task. Kudos 5th grade artists!!!
