3rd grade fantastic robots

Third graders made these colorful and fantastical robots after learning how to draw and shade 3-d forms.  We used colored pencils for shading, and then we painted the backgrounds by mixing tints (any color mixed with white). We made gradations of colors for the backgrounds.
