A Piece of Cake

Middle school students used slab construction to build a small triangular box, then applied clay modeling techniques to turn it into a playful, sweet treat. The pieces were completed with vibrant acrylic paint and a glossy clear glaze. Along the way, students explored the Pop Art Movement, discovering how artists elevated everyday objects to the realm of high art.
