Art Show Choice Artwork

Each student chooses their favorite artwork they've created over the course of the school year in art class. This artwork will be displayed at the Art Show on Thursday, March 28. We have a discussion about how to make this choice based on what the artwork means to them and the people who will look at it when it is displayed at the Art Show. Their choice may also be based on the quality of craftsmanship in the artwork. The importance of self-expression in their artwork is more important than the way the artwork looks. We reflect on the difference between the meaning of an artwork versus the way that it looks.
