Celebrating Black History Through Art

Students at Bay City Academy created some amazing artwork inspired by influential Black Artists or other influential Black leaders in America. Some of the Artists and Leaders include Alma Thomas, Jean Michel Basquiat, Horace Pippin, Kara Walker, Jacob Lawrence, Kerry James Marshal, Aaron Douglas, Elizabeth Catlett, Charles White, Mark Bradford, and Martin Luther King Jr.
