4th Grade Sculptures - Action Poses

Students studied proportion and then drew action poses of thier clasmates. Those drawings were used as a resource and inspiration for their plaster cloth sculptures. The figure was made with pipe cleaners and put into a clay base. Bamboo skewers were added to help support the wire figure in the clay. The figure was wrapped with plaster cloth and then painted with metallic tempera paint.
