Sun & Moon

We use crayon to create a wax resist after drawing a joined sun & moon face. We discuss opposites, warm and cool, day and night, and also look at the sun and moon with human features as a popular theme in artwork. We paint over our skies (and faces if we are feeling brave and confident in our crayon waxiness) with watercolor.
