About this School Project (Y5/KG Solomon Crocodile Textures)
Kindergarten and Young Five Students read the fun book "Solomon Crocodile" by Catherine Raynon and learn how he makes friends in the swamp. Students then use the book for inspiration to draw their own crocodiles using black crayon. Next, students find a shoe bottom that has a texture on it. Students place their paper on top of their shoe, so Solomon is on top, then use crayon to rub inside Solomon creating a texture from their shoe inside Solomon on their papers. Next, students add fun details Solomon might enjoy like dragonflies, leaves, and items found in nature.
