About this School Project (4th Keith Haring Figures)
Keith Haring is an artist who focuses on fun drawings of the shape of a human figure, with black lines showing movement in public community spaces, focusing on giving back to the community. In this lesson, fourth grade students practiced drawing a stick figure in motion, outlining the shape of the figure to create a cookie-cutter like effect. Using black markers, students colored in their figures to give contrast to the background. Next, students used different color markers to create a concentric line design around the figure. Using a repeating pattern of colors students selected a color theme from warm colors, cool colors, primary colors, or secondary colors. What is your favorite movement position or color family?
