About this School Project (1st Patterned Hands In Marker)
Students studied the artwork of Henri Matisse and his many cut-outs of shapes. Students focused on outlines of shapes by repeatedly tracing their hands in different angles by overlapping, and learning how to show what is in front and what is behind. Next, students learned about different types of lines and used that knowledge to create repeating patterns in varying colors in their hands. Students enjoyed making overlapping shapes and variety in their designs.
