Hello! My name is Brie, I work at Tesseract Elementary school. I have the honor and the privilege to work with children and share my love for the arts with them. I have the best job in the world! How many people can say that they mummified an apple, created Russian palaces, built Mt. Fujis (and made them erupt), explored Mayan pottery, went to medieval medical school, and made Greek pottery over the course of one year? I love teaching art and finding as many new ways to actively incorporate history and other subjects into my subject matter. When I'm not teaching, I love riding my bike, roller skating, doing yoga, playing ultimate frisbee, dancing, drawing, painting, and working with ceramics. I studied art, sign language, art education, and American Indian Studies at the University of Minnesota. I currently live in St. Paul with my husband, my dog Django, and my two cats Savvy, and Toodles.
