Hi, my name is Kris Crane and I am the art teacher at Desert Garden Elementary School in Glendale, Arizona. I graduated from Wayne State College in Nebraska where I recieved my Bachelor's Degree in Education with a endorsement in art. I teach Kindergarten-3rd grade and have been teaching for about 7 years.
In my classroom I focus on creating, relating, and evaluating art. Students don't just make art, they learn about the history of the art and how to think about art. I love my job because I get to see children explore their creativity and watch them grow and improve over the years. I have always loved art and I think that art helps to tie all the different areas of school curriculum together and makes learning fun. I enjoy planning exciting lesson plans for my students and sharing their art with others at art shows and on artsonia!
