Art can make school come alive for many students; it did for me when I was in school. I have always loved art and liked to use it when teaching all subjects.

I am a student of the visual arts myself, so I learn side-by-side with my students. Dance, music, theater, and the digital arts are more my strengths. I look forward to somehow combining these genre into our Artsonia class gallery presentations.

I'm a musician and composer, so I enjoy creating both visual art as well as music and seeing the parallels and similarities in process and product. I've always found that my expression through the arts is both healing and transformational. This is true for the students in our 2nd grade class. We gain knowledge and joy through our expression in our pictures and music!

I am so happy to be using Artsonia! This is my third year of teaching, after more than 10 years in administration, and I am enjoying being back with kids! My students are all fabulous artists and I hope you enjoy our gallery!
