Hi, my name is Jill Maynard and I am the proud principal of Southside Elementary School in Belfry, KY. I am so pleased that you are visiting Artsonia! Art education is very important at Southside Elementary School! This is one way we can allow our students to share their fabulous artwork with others. In my opinion, Art in the elementary school has great beneficial effects on student learning by stimulating the multiple intelligences present in each of our students. Art activities can serve as a bridge to understanding for students, learning across all of the multiple intelligences and benefit all types of learners.
