I've loved art as early as...I can remember. My p ... read moreassion for teaching art to children comes from many years of art studies, professional art careers (non-profit arts organizations, art museum administration, freelance illustration and fine art), corporate and educational resource management and the sheer enjoyment of the artmaking process.
I am a San Diego native who has also worked and lived in Northern California, Colorado and Illinois. I found New York as my home after graduating with my Masters of Art in Teaching (M.A.T.) at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
My curiosity and imagination was nurtured from both parents who enjoyed life to the fullest. My father was an architect and my British mother was an avid reader (bibliophile), creative writer and fiber enthusiast (knitting, sewing).
I am so proud of my students especially when I see them explore their minds through their own creativity and imagination. It is a joy seeing a child's face light up after creating and experiencing something new in art class for the first time.
