Thank you so much for taking the time to explore the wonderful talents of our students! As an elementary art teacher I am always amazed at the ability levels of each student. Art has always interested me at a very early age. With a BS degree in art education from Indiana University of Pa, a minor in Art Education, and a Masters in Secondary Education, I am very grateful to be sharing my knowledge and expertise with the children. Currently, I have been teaching art for more than 15 years, As a part time ar ... read moret educator at the high school for 3 years and 10 years full time at the elementary level. I enjoy working with children and individuals of all ages. They have taught me as much as I have taught them. Each individual has his or her own abilities and I feel, as an art educator, it is my job to encourage their talents within each level to enhance their creative knowledge, experience and expertise. Each child has a creative layer and that needs to be fostered, especially at a young age, to build confidence, so they continue to be well rounded learners. Creating art is like sharing a tangible piece of yourself with others. In this way, even the quiet can be heard. As a society, we need respectful, innovative and creative thinkers to move us forward. Art is more than it may initially appear, please remember to take the time to get a closer look!
