Andrea Souther
Greetings from Andrea Souther, Art Teacher for Seabrook Middle School. I teach grades 5 through 8. We study art history chronologically from Ancient Egypt Through Modern Art. We explore differnt media, techniques and concepts and link it to core subjects. In my classroom, process and understanding are most important. Students learn how art is connected to the world in real life terms.

Colleen Sousa
I have been teaching for 29 years but only 3 of them have been in art. At this point in my career I feel I have been given a boost of passion and excitement. My dream as a student was always to be an art teacher. I am over the moon!
We study various art forms: painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, wire and papier mache. Each year we study and create a piece inspired by famous artists. My goal is to have students learn about techniques and how artists use them. I always encourage students to take ideas outside the box. Create art that belongs to you. |
