Welcome to the Savage Elementary Artsonia page. It is so wonderful to have a site like this to share the beautiful art of our Savage superstars! Teaching art really is a joy to me every day. The kids never cease to amaze me. I have been lucky enough to be teaching children's art for years. I have a bachelor's degree in fine art from Michigan State University and a master's in elementary education from U of M Flint. I have been with the Van Buren school district since 2010. Throughout the school year my goal is to have all students work with as many different mediums as possible. My personal favorite is chalk pastel. Watching the students' excitement and pride in their finished work is the most rewarding part of the job.
