April Kirchgessner
April Kirchgessner was born in St. Louis, MO but went to college in Tampa, FL where she received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Within a year, she received her Art Certification K-12. Since then she taught preschool in St. Charles, MO for three years before moving back to Tampa where she taught 1st grade and then 5th grade for four years. She then married and moved to Conway, AR where her husband coaches the men's tennis team at Hendrix College. Although, April has taught various grade levels and subject areas over the last ten years, where her heart truly lies is in art education. She enjoys helping students gain confidence through their artwork and loves seeing their creativity blossom.
After her son was born in March of 2022, April Kirchgessner wrote and illustrated a children's book dedicated to her son, called Glow, which is available on Amazon.
