Patricia Bereskin
Pat Bradley Bereskin is a native of Bettendorf, Iowa. She acknowledges her of sight and artistic ability as gifts from God. This along with the direction and encouragement that she received from the art teachers in the public school, where she began her life long dream to share her gift. In addition to her own artwork, she has been teaching Art for 32 years at her own school in Bettendorf. In July of 2017 she moved her gallery tState Street in Bettendorf. Mrs. B.'s Art became Beréskin Gallery & Art Academy. In five short years the 8,000 square feet Bereskin outgrew the gallery, studio, classroom clay lab, a STEAM Lab and Atelier.
In August of 2022, the Art Academy was born. The programs evolved to two locations, one in Bettendorf and the other in Davenport the the regions most loved museums. While the gallery has gone online 100%, Pat continues to teach with her staff and provides mentorships to students and educators alike.
With retirement coming in the next three years, Pat chose to gift the community her programing. The Art Academy and it's 14 additional master artists, who are now in their new locations in Bettendorf at the Family Museum (Preschool Art, Beginning & Beginner Intermediate Art Classes) and in Davenport at the Figge Art Museum (Intermediate, Advanced and Adult Art Classes). The Bereskin instructors, like their mentor, teach in a particular method that allows confidence and growth in a wholistic way. The year-round Art Academy has been reinvented and the legacy will continue long into the future.
Pat continues to serve as an "Artists in Residence" for the community schools and the Quad City Montessori. She enjoys doing commissioned work in all mediums and creating murals in private homes or businesses. Besides teaching and spending the summers teaching Art Camps, Pat has been studying in Italy each summer for the past 25 years. For the past 17 years she has taken students on European Art Education Tours and always looks forward to her travels.
