Hi there, I am Jessica Austin. This is my third year at Montgomery Middle and I am so excited to be surrounded by such incredibly talented individuals. This is my 9th year teaching. I previously taught high school beginning/advanced art and graphic design. I graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Art Education. Earned my credential and Masters degree from National University.
As much as I loved seeing the creativity ooze from my advanced students my passion is ... read more teaching beginners. There is something about having a student who questions themselves and their abilities the beginning of the year to leaving in the spring proud and excited about the work they created.
I hope you enjoy viewing our work as much as we did creating it. Parents, become a member of our fan club and leave a message for your favorite artist. If you love their work as much as I do, you can actually purchase something from this site with your child's artwork on it! it can range from a coffee mug to a T-shirt and the awesome thing is that 15% of what you purchase comes back to Montgomery Middles art department for materials.
