Ben Quinn
Ben Quinn grew up in Meeker and graduated from Meeker High School in 1999. After he left Meeker, he attended Adams State College and received his Bachelor of Arts in Art/K-12 Art Education in 2004. Upon completion of that degree, he went to Norwood School District in southwest Colorado to teach grades 1-12 and worked as an Adjunct Professor of Art for Colorado Mesa University. Mr. Quinn has received many awards including the 2007 Exceptional New Alumnus Award from Adams State University, ten Artsonia Leadership Awards, a Heroic Contribution Award from the Colorado Department of Education, a Colorado School of the Year Award and four Regional School of the Year Awards from EPYCS (El Pomar Youth in Community Service) and the Colorado Art Education Association's Distinguished Leadership Award. Mr. Quinn currently teaches high school Art 1-4 and drives a bus occasionally. Mr. Quinn also teaches dual enrollment classes (College Art History, College Drawing, College Ceramics, College 3D/2D Design and Art Appreciation) through Colorado Northwestern Community College. Mr. Quinn also served as Vice President to the Colorado Art Education Association. Mr. Quinn received a National Scholastic Art Educator's Silver Medal in 2020 for his work with his students. Mr. Quinn was honored with the Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Award from the Boy Scouts of America in 2022. He has a wife, Rochelle, and two sons, Ethan (age 19) and Joshua (age 15).
