Ida Ojanguren
I spent the first 18 years of my career teaching art in my hometown of Frederick, MD and I have been at Manteo since 2019. I am so excited to bring digital galleries to my artists and their families so that everyone can share the joy that I feel everyday in the art studio. I do not make much art of my own, but prefer the challenge of experimenting with new media and techniques so that I can introduce them to my students. Elementary art making should be a grand experiment that allows students to develop skills, practice manipulating media and be exposed to lots of different ways of creating. But, most of all, it should be fun!
