Hello! My name is Mrs. Seaba and I am the art teacher here at Amana Elementary! I am so excited for another fun, exciting, and messy year of art class. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I graduated from Coe College in 2017 with my BA in elementary education with art and reading endorsements. My first 2 years of teaching was at Kirkwood Elementary in Coralville, IA as a kindergarten teacher. In 2020, I finally found my home at Amana Elementary and I have been here ever since. I specialized in painting and color theory in college, but I am very passionate about all mediums of art. Throughout the year, your child will learn a variety of artistic techniques, art vocabulary, problem-solving skills, art history, and much more. I believe in an interdisciplinary approach in art education, so in addition to learning about art, your child will also create meaningful connections throughout their core subjects such as reading, math, science, and social studies. My goal for Artsonia, is to showcase these connections and your child's growth as an artist.
