I started creating art as soon as I could hold a pencil or marker in my hand, and was encouraged to keep making art all my life. I began teaching children to create art in 1996 at School for Little People and also opened my private lesson studio to children called Texoma Art Academy that same year. I was a founding member in the art group ArtAttack! and we exhibited our artwork together and individually in several galleries throughout the north Texas area for many years. I graduated Grayson County College ... read morewith an art major/ science minor in 1995 and Texas Woman's University in 1998 with my Bachelor of Fine Arts (magna cum laude) in studio painting and drawing with a minor in art history. I have taught art at Texoma Christian School since 2002 and feel it has been the greatest blessing to work with this school and awesome young artists where they are free to see God's works through a Christian eye and be able to openly express our faith and love for Him through our artworks. I look forward each and everyday to see what great imaginations and creations these wonderful young artists are going to make today, they never cease to amaze me.
