Emily Weisz
Hello! My name is Emily Bryan and I am the visual arts teacher here at Heritage Elementary School in Wake Forest, NC. I grew up in a small town in northwestern PA and have always had a passion for creating art. When I was in high school, I taught ceramics classes to elementary children and that is when I discovered that I wanted to become an art teacher. I attended Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA, where I studied Studio Art and Art Education. I also have a minor in Art Therapy. When I graduate ... read mored college, I planned to teach at the high school level, however, I have fallen in love with teaching the younger kids! The art room is a fun and engaging place where every child is given the opportunity to create their own masterpieces and form a lasting appreciation of art. We experiment with a variety of media and techniques throughout the year. I personally enjoy painting landscapes and working with clay the most! In my free time, you can find me volunteering and fostering dogs with the Paws for Life Animal Rescue. I have a Catahoula Leopard dog named Levi and German Shepherd dog named Sable. I look forward to a fun year inspiring my students to create their own masterpieces in the art room at HES!
