Kristiana Murray
I have been a teacher at Brooks since 2003 and teach Fine Arts 7th, Fine Arts 8th, and Art Foundations. I have a BFA in sculpture from University of Kansas…. Rock’ Chalk’ Jayhawk! I received my Masters in Teaching Interdisciplinary Arts from Colombia College Chicago. My style of teaching has a strong element of student choice and voice. It is important for my students to experiment, take risks, get their hands dirty, clean-up, grow, have fun, and work their brain in a different way than the rest of their classes.

Meaghan Pabellon
Welcome to the Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School Artsonia page. My name is Mrs. Pabellon and I am one of three art teachers here at Brooks. I teach Applied Arts, Fine Arts, and Art Foundations. I am a sculptor and love to share my passion for the arts with my students, especially woodworking and ceramics. Some of my favorite artists are Leondardo Drew, Sarah Sze, and Martin Puryear. One thing that I love about teaching is helping students find their own creative vision. which in turn inspires me to see things in new ways. Here's to another exciting school year in the arts!
