I love art! I'm following my dream to share it with students and help grow their creativity.
This is my 4th year with Frank Rushton Elementary in the KCK school district. I have a Master's in Teaching. And a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from KU. I strive to incorporate art history, various art techniques, and mediums. I'm a wife, mom, and dog lover when not at school. I have three teenagers and a big dog, and I create art quilts, read, watch movies, work out, plant flowers, anything outside, and time with my family. |

I love teaching art. I teach at Frank Rushton Elementary and Caruthers Elementaryy. I am so happy to be here.
I have worked in the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools my entire career. I am a National Board Certified Teacher. I am honored to have been the 2013 Kansas Elementary Teacher of the Year nominee from the district. I have been married to my husband, Bill, for 41 years. I am very proud of our four grown children and four granddaughters. My hobbies are painting, reading, and the internet. My door is always "open" and everyone is welcomed to visit the art room. |
