When a child first picks up a pencil or a crayon they do not pick it up to write a letter of the alphabet or a word, they draw. Art stimulates creativity and expressionism in students. Students should be encouraged to express themselves in their creation of art. Allowing students to express themselves, their ideas, and their feelings in their artworks motivates students to be creative. CHS offers a variety of visual art classes including: Art 1, Art 2, Advanced Art, 3-D Design Ceramics, Advanced Painting, CCP: Foundations Drawing, CCP 2-D Design, AP Studio Art: Drawing, AP Studio Art: 2-D Design, Computer Graphics and Yearbook Design.
